GUIDED TOURS
Laban offers a tour of the building focusing on its architecture and key features.
The tour gives an insight into how the building functions as a dance centre and how it was architecturally designed for dance.
On an architectural tour you can expect to experience Herzog and de Meuron’s inspiring spaces and chaotic beauty, created through collaboration with the visual artist Michael Craig-Martin.
The tour will explore spaces filled with vivid colour and dynamic form. These include dance studios, interlocking corridors, interior courtyards, a dance health department; all centered around the main theatre space – the heart of the building.
The duration of the tour is normally up to 1 hour. The meeting point is at Reception, at the main entrance.
On a Guided Tour, visitors are welcome to take photographs of the building and the exterior but are not permitted to take pictures of studios or any other spaces, when in use by students or staff.
Photography is permitted for personal use only and permission is not granted for images of Laban to be reproduced for any reason, or for sale or publication. If you require photography for reasons other than personal use please email the Laban press office, on info@laban.org
The standard charge for the tour is £10 per person with a £7 concession for students and senior citizens which you can pay on the day of the tour either by cash, cheque or debit card.

Fortnightly dates are offered, however confirmation must be received from the Events Team in order to join a tour.

If you wish to book a private group tour then please email us at tours@laban.org. Private Group tours must be 10 people and over (or otherwise stated) and no more than 25 people per Tour Guide. Two tours may be happening around the building at the same time, therefore only 50 people may tour the building simultaneously.
Please allow as much notice as possible for a Group Booking.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the fee must be paid upon confirmation of booking a Group Tour.
If you are unable to join the tours, there are some areas which are accessible to the public in the building. These are the Café, the Health Suite and the Bar in the Foyer (during a performance).
Feast Your Eyes Café at Laban is open to visitors for coffee, refreshments, hot lunches and sandwiches on the usual opening hours of:
Monday – Friday 0830-1830 hrs
Saturday 0830-1630 hrs
Sunday Closed
