DANCE ABILITY
Autumn Term: 13 Sept - 6 Dec (no class 25 October)
Spring Term: 10 Jan - 28 March (no class 14 Feb)
Summer Term: 18 April - 11 July (no class 30 May)
Fun movement play and creative dance sessions with live music where children, siblings, parents, Grandma’s, Uncles and your next door neighbour can all join in!
In this safe environment, children and adults alike are given the freedom to experience, explore and create movement. Under the guidance of a dance teacher, support worker and a team of volunteers, participants fully engage with ‘sensation, feeling, movement and image’ (Penny Greenland). Many of the playful activities in which you indulge support future functioning, learning and health.
Laban is fully accessible. Dance Ability is open to children with any physical or learning disability or sensory impairment, wheelchair users are welcome. Some support is available but we ask that parents or carers take a practical role in the class to enjoy the experience for themselves and with their child.
