An exciting music and dance collaboration with Trinity College of Music

Danse Macabre by Saint Saens
Night on Bare Mountain by Mussorgsky
When I am Laid in Earth by Purcell
Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz

This exciting collaborative music and dance project will be between Adult Dancers from Laban, and Blackheath Halls Community Orchestra. As a Laban Adult Dancer, you will build your contemporary technique and develop your choreographic skills learning and creating movement material for a macabre medley of dark music played live by the Blackheath Halls Community Orchestra at a special performance at the end of the course.

Class format
The format of the classes includes teacher led sequences and your own choreography set to the scores.

Term dates and Rehearsals
13 September to 29 November 2010. Monday and Wednesday Evenings, 18.30 – 20.30h at Laban.

Rehearsals
Introduction to the project: 19 September 2010, 2.30 – 17.30h at Laban with the orchestra. It will be necessary for you to rehearse on Sunday afternoons: 7, 14, 21 November 2010 at Blackheath Halls with the orchestra.

Performances
There will be 3 final performances at Blackheath Halls: 2.30 and 19.30h on Sun 28 November and 19.30h on Mon 29 November 2010.

Fee
£235 for the term.
