Please see below for the programme details:

• Developed at the request of the major national dance organisations and led by Youth Dance England on behalf of DTAP
• Provides evidence to employers and parents/carers that a dance practitioner has the expertise to teach children and young people
• Relevant and accessible continuing professional development
• 90 credits at Level 6 of the national Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)
• Can be gained through independent study, professional guidance or taught courses
• This qualification is the first of its kind
The award is accredited by Trinity College London (TCL).
Laban will be providing training in different ways for practitioners with different levels of experience. Some people will need more training than others. You can find additional information about the qualification here.
Laban will be running information sessions that will help practitioners decide what training they need in order to enter for the TCL assessment. We are offering a mentoring only route for those people who will require very little support.
