Allison Brown (Canada)
Allison Brown is a Canadian citizen living in Frankfurt, Germany. Since 1998 she has been making her own work starting with the experimental piece Achtung Honey. For the Emerging Choreographers program of Ballett Frankfurt she created between: a dance installation in 1999 and in 2001 a duet called Fusiform. In 2003 she choreographed a piece for 8 dancers entitled Worship the Flaw for Amanda Miller's company, Pretty Ugly / Ballett Freiburg. Grundlicht, an evening length work, was created in 2006 at the Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt. Allison teaches workshops throughout Europe, North America and Japan. Previous dance experience includes New York City Ballet, Twyla Tharp and Dancers, Amanda Miller's Pretty Ugly Dance Company and Saburo Teshigawara's Karas Company. From 1996 to 2004 she was a member of William Forsythe’s Ballett Frankfurt.

Lost Dog (UK)
Ben Duke and Raquel Mesegeur formed Lost Dog in 2004. Their first piece, Pave up Paradise, won first prize at the Burgos International Choreography competition, second prize at the prestigious Hanover Choreography competition and before being toured around the UK by Phoenix Dance Theatre. At the Edinburgh Festival 2005 Lost Dog premiered The Drowner which was nominated for a Total Theatre Award and was subsequently performed at the Place Theatre. The company received a Bonnie Bird UK New Choreographers Award in November 2005 and was commissioned to make a new piece, The Over-Head Project. In 2006 the company was invited to be Choreographers in Residence at the MADE in Umea Festival, Sweden and received the Robin Howard Commission 2007 to create Hungry Ghosts for the Place Theatre’s Spring Loaded season.

Miguel Pereira (Portugal)
Having studied dance from a young age in his native Portugal, Miguel Pereira gained a scolarship to study at the prestigious Théatre Contemporain de la Danse in Paris before continuing his studies in New York. His outstanding choreographic work includes the piece Antonio Miguel, toured extensively through Europe and Brazil, for which he received the Revelation Prize José Ribeiro da Fonte/Ministry of Culture in 2000. Following an invitation by Vera Mantero in 2000, he has been an associated artist of the company O Rumo do Rumo and is a regular collaborator at The Arnolfini Gallery in Bristol. In June 2006 he premiered Karima meets Lisboa meets Miguel meets Cairo - a collaboration with Eygptian choreographer Karima Mansour developed for the Portuguese Festival Alkantara. This is the second time Miguel has worked with Transitions, after the company toured his piece Transitions in 2003/2004.
