BOGUZAS, Grace
Grace has been practising Pilates for 10 years, having discovered it when recovering from a back injury that threatened her career as a dancer. She trained professionally at Laine Theatre Arts and London Studio Centre, where she studied for a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance and gained teaching qualifications in dance. She went on to perform in the musical We Will Rock You, as well as various regional productions.

Grace began to teach Pilates matwork while she was still performing. She found this very rewarding and when she realised the positive affect her teaching was having on her clients, she was inspired to train with the Pilates Foundation at Laban with Jessica Moolenaar. She has studied somatic theory and anatomy trains and attended workshops in Alexander Technique and the Feldenkrais Method, which she draws from in her work.

Grace believes that Pilates is for everyone; whether you are a sports person who wants to improve your performance, are recovering from injury or have never exercised before. She is highly skilled in working remedially and has worked successfully with many conditions including frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, slipped discs, sacroiliac problems, sciatica, whiplash and general back pain. Grace specialises in working functionally, and teaching people how to transfer the skills they learn into their everyday lives. Her work at Laban means she is experienced in working with dancers to transfer their Pilates skills to compliment their training.
