Blind Action - Cameron McMillan
"In response to Cameron’s vision of a ‘micro-society’, the costume design presents a strong, group, visual identity. It communicates a sense of uniformity via contemporary, stylish garments, which serve to reinforce the concerns of the piece. Performers are associated with one another by the use of a strong base colour palette, and further connections are made via the repetition of signature colour detailing. Within each gender group, dancers are also linked by silhouette. The subtle distinctions in cut and colour, enable avoidance of overt stylistic duplication. The success of the design stems from the close working relationship between designer and choreographer."
